Human leadership is essential in a remote working world

We are now in a world where remote management is the new normal.

As a leader you will need to think about how you are going to tackle managing your team from a distance.

Back at the start of lock down there was a sense of urgency, adrenaline was pumping, and we just needed to get on with all of the various tasks and actions that presented themselves. Whether we were closing offices, furloughing people, sorting out technology or arranging social distancing protocols for our workers, we just had to get it done.

Now we are approaching what is being called the ‘new normal’ with lock down, social distancing and remote working potentially staying with us for many months or even longer. It is time for us leaders to take stock about how we work with our teams now that the dust has settled. We need to ensure that we are not taking for granted that everyone knows what they are doing and that they are happy in their work.
